Amanda Holden reveals she found bizarre outfit in Simon Cowell's wardrobe
Amanda Holden was shocked to discover a whip in Simon Cowell’s wardrobe.
The 53-year-old TV judge - who is set to return to the panel of ITV1's 'Britain's Got Talent' alongside music mogul Simon, 64, Bruno Tonioli and Alesha Dixon when the latest series launches on Saturday (20.04.24) - revealed that she was astonished to find a top hat and whip among her co-star's staple garments, all inspired by Hugh Jackman's ensemble from 'The Greatest Showman'.
She is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “He once let me into his wardrobe and there was just rows and rows of grey T-shirts and jeans.
“And then there was a 'Greatest Showman' outfit with a top hat... and a whip!"
The news comes after former 'Cutting It' actress Amanda - who has appeared on the panel since the series' inception in 2007 - admitted that she is hoping that a choir will win so that the £250,000 cash prize can be spread amongst several people.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz and other media outlets, she said: "For me this year, I would love a choir to win. I have always said that to Simon because I want that money to spread across loads of people and I'd love to see loads of people win it. It's always brilliant to have one or two people win it but to have a whole choir...and I think this year, we have had some amazing choirs."
If a choir is victorious in this year's edition of the competition - which presents one entrant with the opportunity to perform at the Royal Variety Performance - it will mark the first time such an act has achieved that feat, although in recent years acts such as the B Positive Choir, the Missing People's Choir and the Welsh of the West End have all reached the live finals.
