The Ring video doorbell is the second-gen 2021 model, with Advanced Motion Detection. It streams a crisp 1080p HD video feed which you can view on your smartphone, or the Echo Show display, and boasts improved night vision, to better catch late night visitors on camera. Two-Way Talk also allows you to see, hear, and speak to whoever is at the door.

Installation is straightforward. The Ring video doorbell can be powered via a rechargeable battery, but can also be connected to your existing doorbell wiring.

The Echo Show 5 display included in this bundle is also a 2021 model. If you’ve used an Amazon Echo before, this Show stablemate, with a 5.5-inch touchscreen, does much the same. You can ask Alexa to set a timer when cooking, stream music from Spotify or Amazon Music, play your favourite radio stations, and control other connected gadgets, such as lighting and heating.

New interactive features are being added to Amazon Alexa all the time. Included in the latest round of updates, you can ask Alexa for book recommendations or play an increasing portfolio of casual games.
