Amy Adams lands next lead movie role
Amy Adams has landed her next role as the lead in a new comedy movie.
Written by Bridesmaids' Annie Mumolo and Moneyball's Stan Chervin, Lazy Susans will tell the tale of a group of mums who decide to form a rock band.
According to Deadline, the movie is inspired by the real-life story of The Lazy Susans, a Boston-based group who formed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Adams will not only star in the comedy but will also produce it with Stacy O'Neil, through their production company Bond Group Entertainment. Further details regarding the plot, cast and director are yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, the actor's upcoming movie has revealed a first trailer, ahead of its December release. Nightbitch is based on the 2021 novel by Rachel Yoder, and stars Adams as a suburban mother who undergoes a dramatic transformation.
The horror comedy follows a former artist whose life revolves around her toddler and husband. The exhausted stay-at-home mum soon starts to notice some physical changes, even commenting on her sharp teeth and "fuzzy" hair.

Adams' character finds herself transforming into a dog at night time and later begins a journey to restrain her violent animal urges.
The trailer shows Adams leaning into the canine behaviour, ferociously chomping her food, digging holes in the garden and roaming around the neighbourhood with a pack of dogs.
Written and directed by Marielle Heller, Nightbitch also stars Scoot McNairy, Mary Holland, Zoë Chao, Jessica Harper, Darius De La Cruiz, Archana Rajan, Ella Thomas, Stacey Swift, Adrienne Rose White and Roslyn Gentle.
Nightbitch will be released in cinemas on December 6.
