Anchorman 2 full trailer: Ron tackles race relations

'Say Whaaat?'

The new trailer for the even Burgundy-er 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' has shown up online – featuring liberal use of Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin'.

There's also a gratuitous shot of Brian Fantana in some huggin' briefs, the cringe-inducing moment when Ron decides to tackle race issues head-on ("Say Whaaat?"), and is that a little Burgundy-Corningstone nipper we spot there?

Meanwhile, the rumours that dim weatherman Brick Tamland would be replacing his love of lamp appear to be true, as he engages in some stilted flirting with his female counterpart Kristen Wiig.

The previous teasers had shown us nothing of the film's set-up, just the four main characters delivering their own brand of macho banter. But now it appears the world of the 24-hour news cycle is indeed the backdrop for the sequel,

"We know these guys never deal well with change," McKay revealed last year, "and the good thing is that there's a big blast of change coming."

"We're going to be throwing a lot of innovation at them, and they're not going to handle it well."

There's no sign yet of Harrison Ford, who is rumoured to be playing a legendary New York anchorman, but we do get our first look at former X-Man James Mardsen, starring as Ron's slick news-reading nemesis.

Other stars reportedly featuring in the cameo credits include Nicole Kidman, Amy Poehler, Liam Neeson, Sacha Baron Cohen and Kanye West. Let's hope they turn up next teaser.

Ferrell is once more joined by Channel 4 News Team favourites Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell and David Koechner, plus fresh-meat Dylan Baker, Greg Kinnear and Meagan Good.

The film is due out on December 20. Expect a new favourite catchphrase.
