Has ‘Green Lantern Corps’ found its John Stewart?

Appearing on Instagram, actor Andre Gordon has dropped a rather interesting tease that he may have landed the role of John Stewart’s Green Lantern in the upcoming ‘Green Lantern Corps’ movie.

Andre Gordon is perhaps best known for his recurring role in ‘Modern Family’. But he’s no stranger to comic book movies either – playing an unnamed bodyguard in Ben Affleck’s 2003 ‘Daredevil’ movie. Yeah… perhaps don’t mention that one.

But does this mean he’ll be playing John Stewart in the upcoming film?

At the moment, we know very little about ‘Green Lantern Corps’ which is tentatively scheduled for release on 24 July 2020. But rumours already suggest that the upcoming film will feature numerous Green Lanterns – and that could include Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz amongst others.

Could John Stewart end up being the main Green Lantern?

At the moment, we have no idea. But most fans continue to speculate that Hal Jordan will be the main focus of the movie… as well as the Green Lantern who will join the Justice League.

But could Andre Gordon really be John Stewart?

For now, we’ll have to wait and see. But it could be a genius bit of out-of-the-box casting.
