Andy Cohen regrets turning down the chance to interview Meghan, Duchess of Sussex

Andy Cohen regrets not inviting Meghan, Duchess of Sussex onto his talk show when he had the chance.

The 55-year-old star hosts 'Watch What Happens Live' and revealed that he turned down the opportunity to interview the now-former actress, 42, when she was known as Meghan Markle and was appearing in TV drama 'Suits' before she tied the knot with Prince Harry.

Speaking on the 'Asky Andy' panel at BravoCon 2023, he said: "It was when she was on 'Suits'. I didn't watch 'Suits'. And I guess she was pitched and we passed, and as my executive producer said, 'You really never know who is going to become a duchess."

Andy was then asked if there were any other major stars he had turned down the chance to chat to and admitted he was unsure, and is also not convinced that Meghan would be keen to make an appearance now that she is a member of the royal family.

He said: "I don’t know, but we’re going to find out. When I think there could be clips of Meghan Markle kiki-ing with me, doing a shot and talking about Vicki Gunvalson? I want to kill myself. don’t think so, I think she’s kind of done with it. You know what by the way? I don’t blame her. 'You passed on me then, you want me now?' No."

Andy also claimed that 'Suits' - in which Meghan played paralegal Rachel Zane - always seemed like a "fake show" to him and joked that the whole thing looked as if it could have been shot on a green screen.

He said: "It always seemed like a fake show to me. I don’t know why. It’s shot in Canada, is it a parody of a show? Is it shot on green screens? I don’t know… Justice for 'Suits', I guess."
