Hannah John-Kamen says we could see Ghost again in the MCU (exclusive)

Hannah John-Kamen has hinted that the character she portrayed in Ant-Man and the Wasp could return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the future.

The 29-year-old actor played Ava Starr, also known as Ghost, in the 2018 superhero blockbuster.

Speaking to promote Netflix series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, the British actor pointed out that her character didn’t die, leaving the door open for her to return.

She told Yahoo Movies UK: “In the MCU, you have to sign your contract with blood and they stitch your mouth together.

“All I can say is that Ghost didn't die.”

Ghost existed in an unstable quantum state as a result of her father’s experimentation and so pursued the heroes in an attempt to secure some of Janet van Dyne’s quantum energy.

Janet wilfully provided some of her energy in the film’s final act to sustain Ghost temporarily, but the Van Dyne family suffered the effects of Thanos’ finger snap before they could harvest more energy from the quantum realm.

Marvel is yet to announce any further Ant-Man movies as part of Phase Four of the MCU, with Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly most recently appearing in Avengers: Endgame.

John-Kamen, meanwhile, plays Gelfling Naia in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

The show, which serves as a prequel to Jim Henson’s 1982 cult film, uses innovative puppetry to portray the Gelflings of Thra as they discover a dark secret about their bird-like lords — the Skeksis.
