Watch the first trailer for Aquaman 2
We've finally got the first trailer for Aquaman 2, or Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom to give it its full title, ahead of its December release in cinemas.
The sequel sees Aquaman (Jason Momoa) have to forge an unlikely alliance with his imprisoned brother Orm (Patrick Wilson) to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman's family from Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II).
We knew that the first trailer for Aquaman 2 was finally coming today (September 14) after Warner Bros released a teaser earlier this week, featuring brief footage of Aquaman on a beaked seahorse-looking creature and his family home on fire.
The threat of Black Manta was there too, with him declaring: "I'm gonna kill Aquaman and destroy everything that he holds dear."

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has been confirmed to release in cinemas on December 20, despite Warner Bros recently delaying Dune: Part Two as a result of the ongoing strikes in Hollywood.
If they're still ongoing in December, stars such as Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Patrick Wilson won't be available to promote the movie.
In between the sequel's production and now, it was decided to restart the DC cinematic universe under James Gunn and Peter Safran with a whole new continuity.
The Batman and Joker are still getting sequels set in their own standalone universes, but it's unknown whether Aquaman will continue.

"We have a special relationship… I wish I could say more. I'll always be Aquaman, and there's a lot of evolution for that. So I'm not going anywhere, and it's very exciting," Jason Momoa said following Gunn and Safran's appointment.
"Jason always saw Aquaman as a trilogy," Safran stated, while Gunn debunked rumours that Momoa would go on to play a completely different DC character in the new universe after the release of Aquaman 2.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is released in cinemas on December 20.
