While Justice League came and went without making much of an impact for most people, the original 'Snyder cut' that was being worked on at first has become almost mythological among a certain section of fans.

Director Zack Snyder was working on his vision of the film before he had to step down due to a family tragedy, and Joss Whedon oversaw reshoots that studio Warner Bros mandated to be lighter in tone after the negative response to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The released version of the film is a strange hodgepodge that most people agree doesn't really work, hence why people are so keen on seeing the original.

While we've heard conflicting reports about whether it is exists or not, Aquaman star Jason Momoa has confirmed he has seen the Snyder cut, which we're sure is making fans even more impatient.

In a video on his Instagram, Momoa talks about Snyder giving him not just a career boost, but a love of filming with lenses, gifting him a very swanky camera. Although he doesn't mention it in the video, the caption states: "SYNDER CUT.

"Well let's be honest if it wasn't for this man we wouldn't have Aquaman. I love u Zachary synder [sic]. Mahalo for showing me the synder cut. Here is a token of my appreciation."

Snyder's original version of the film would have featured another superhero, Superman's black suit, time travel and other plot points following on from the BvS dream sequence and the villain Darkseid (who at least will be in the New Gods movie).
