Theirs is a friendship watched by the world. Ever since Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga set the screen alight in the Oscar-winning A Star is Born, shippers around the globe have wanted them to get together.
Now there are rumours that they will unite - albeit on screen again – in the third in Guardians of the Galaxy series.
The speculation started when Hollywood Life reported that Lady Gaga would be joining the cast of the Marvel movies.
According to the website’s source, “There is a very strong possibility that Lady Gaga and Bradley will be working together again on Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Only some cast names have been released but the word is Bradley will reprise his role of Rocket Raccoon and Gaga will play his love interest.”
The insider continued, “Their characters are animated but still, it’s exciting. Audiences want them together and certainly everyone recognises that appeal, they’re box office gold together, it’s very likely that this will happen.”
Only this week, Edith Bowman had to take to Twitter to squash the rumour that Cooper and Lady Gaga would be appearing on the bill at Glastonbury.
Eagle-eyed fans were still hoping to spot The Hangover actor among the crowds. A Star is Born screened at the Pilton Palais tent as part of the on the festival’s cinema schedule on Friday, and there were suggestions that Cooper would introduce the film.
It is believed the character Gaga will play in the next Guardians movie is Lylla. According to the Marvel database, she is a sentient otter and Rocket’s soulmate.
Guardians of the Galaxy 3 is currently in pre-production according the IMDb.com and is expecting to be released in cinemas in 2021.
