As reported by the Associated Press, settlement terms were agreed upon in October and required a six month waiting period before the judge’s order could take effect. Settlement terms included Grande making a onetime payment of $1,250,000 to Gomez with no future alimony, giving him half of the proceeds of the sale of their Los Angeles home and paying up to $25,000 toward his attorneys’ fees.

Grande and Gomez married in a private ceremony at her home in Montecito, California, on May 15, 2021. Prior to their engagement at the time, the couple had been notoriously private about their relationship, with Grande only sharing a few images of Gomez on her social media. According to People, the couple had been dating since January 2020. Grande and Gomez also quarantined together during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Grande recently released her seventh album, Eternal Sunshine. “although this album captures a lot of painful moments, it also is woven together with a through line of deep, sincere love,” Grande wrote on social media. “if you cannot hear that, please listen more closely.” She is also set to star alongside Cynthia Erivo in the two-part film version of Wicked.
