Ariana Grande is releasing a remix of her 2020 single '34+35' and enlisting the help of not one but two mystery musical stars.

The 27-year-old positions singer revealed the news on Wednesday (January 13) via Instagram with a short clip featuring radio static noise dubbed over the toe-tapping track and an image three people's silhouettes, two of which have question marks over their faces.

The caption-less video sent the internet ablaze with fans quickly beginning to speculate that the remix would include two heavyweight singers.

Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj became fast frontrunners in the case of Grande's 'Guess Who?' with Cat’s name so widely mentioned that she became a trending topic on Twitter.

One fan tweeted: 'Manifesting it’s doja & nicki for the remix [sic]' alongside a photo of all three musicians in pensive moments. Another went as far as to create their own interpretation of the would-be cover art, captioning it 'WE MIGHT BE GETTING A DOJA x NICKI x ARIANA COLLAB DO U HEAR ME SCREAMING [sic]'

Other fans however were not as quick to crown Minaj and Doja Cat as the victors of this mystery unveiling. Instead they suggested that the outlined lightshadows could be of pop duo Chloe x Halle.

One fan even went as far as reposting the original video with the caption 'NO BC THIS LOOKS LIKE MY GIRLS CHLOE X HALLE THE OUTLINEE I KNOW YALL SEE IT!! [sic]'

It seems we're all remain on tenterhooks and continuing guessing the identity of the two stars until the big reveal, which is scheduled for Friday January 15.

Grande - who recently announced her engagement to boyfriend Dalton Gomez - is known for her numerous powerhouse musical collaborations over the years including working with the star's life long idol Mariah Carey, pop goddess Lady Gaga and even Chaka Khan for the recent Charlie's Angels reboot.

The singer is currently nominated for a 2021 Grammy Award alongside Lady Gaga for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their 2020 hit 'Rain On Me'.
