It’s official - Michael Fassbender isn’t the only star of ‘Assassin’s Creed’.
A new, international poster for ‘Assassin’s Creed’ has debuted today, and it just goes to show, it’s not all about Michael Fassbender. Until now, we’ve seen Callum Lynch and his 15th Century Spanish ancestor Aguilar, dominating the film’s marketing.
But now finally, we’ve got a glimpse at the rest of the cast.
And the poster’s pretty stylish, too.
It’s just two months until ‘Assassin’s Creed’ debuts in cinemas across the UK… and we finally find out whether Hollywood can make a great video game movie. And while the new poster may feel a little more generic than the high-flying leaps of our favourite assassin, we finally get a good look at the rest of them.
Michael Fassbender plays Callum Lynch - a career criminal who is rescued from certain death by the mysterious corporation, Abstergo Industries. But they didn’t get involved out of the goodness of their hearts. Callum is soon forced to participate in the Animus Project and relive the memories of his 15th Century Spanish ancestor, Aguilar - a highly-skilled assassin during the time of the Spanish Inquisition.
Much like the video game of the same name, ‘Assassin’s Creed’ will see Callum Lynch experiencing the life of his ancestor, and learning a few tricks from the long-dead assassin.
And they’ll come in handy as he’s forced to face his captors…
‘Assassin’s Creed’ stars Michael Fassbender alongside Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, and Ariane Labed.
Justin Kurzel directed the film based on a script by Bill Collage, Adam Cooper, and Michael Lesslie.
‘Assassin’s Creed’ heads to cinemas on 1 January 2017.
