The Hulk actor took to Twitter on Thursday (June 6) to share three images of the cast as they filmed the movie's most heartbreaking scene - Tony Stark aka Iron Man's funeral.

Managing to squeeze a joke out of the moment, Ruffalo wrote: "We’re filming a wedding, they said."

Some of the stars of the film – including Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Jon Favreau (Happy), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), Letitia Wright (Shuri), Danai Gurira (Okoye) and Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) – are seen out of character on the lakeside where Tony's funeral was filmed.

Captain America actor Chris Evans also got in on the fun by sharing some behind-the-scenes videos of the moment, filming Ruffalo on his stilts and wearing his motion capture gear.

In a second clip posted by Evans, Chris Hemsworth can be heard repeatedly saying: "No cameras."

Of course, Tony met his heroic demise at the end of Endgame when he used the Infinity Stones to wipe out Thanos and his army, sacrificing himself in the process.

Some fans are still struggling to accept the character's death and have even started a petition to bring him back to life, but they should really be comforted in the knowledge that Robert Downey Jr is now planning to save the real world with the use of robotics and nanotechnology. Yes, really.

It seems playing a billionaire tech-genius superhero has rubbed off on him a bit.
