Baby Groot has a potty mouth in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Superbowl trailer

With Rocket Raccoon as an interpreter, we’re about to discover that despite appearances, cute Baby Groot has a bit of a filthy mouth.

Bringing Michael Rooker’s Yondu into the fold, Rocket explains that his chirrup of ‘I Am Groot’ on that particular occasion means ‘Welcome to the frickin’ Guardians of the Galaxy’.

“Only he didn’t use frickin’,” adds Rocket.

Got it.

All set to a souped-up version of Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain, there’s some dazzling footage teased here of intergalactic chases, Dave Bautista’s Drax hurling himself into the maw of a giant tentacled creature and a loose meteor sending new recruit Mantis flying.

For many, this tops ‘Thor: Ragnorok’ as the most eagerly-awaited Marvel movie on the studio’s slate.

Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Bradley Cooper (Rocket), Baby Groot (Vin Diesel), and Karen Gillan (Nebula) are all back, with new cast-members including Pom Klementieff as Mantis, Chris Sullivan as Taserface and Kurt Russell as Ego, Star-Lord’s dad.

It’s out on April 28 across the UK.
