A new rumour suggests we’ll be getting our first look at the trailer for ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice’ alongside another long-awaited Warner Bros fantasy epic, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road.’

Reporting on the rumour, The Telegraph also cite an unofficial description of the trailer, which is said to have been complete since October 2014.

A number of alleged ‘leaked’ trailers have appeared online in recent months only to be taken down soon thereafter, with no indication from the studio as to whether or not the footage was genuine.

The Telegraph mentions a leaked trailer having featured “footage of screaming citizens and a destroyed Metropolis from Zack Snyder’s previous Superman film ‘Man of Steel,’” plus “a voice-over from Ben Affleck’s Batman, whose dialogue included the lines: “The world has changed with the arrival of the Kryptonians” and “Is Superman here to save us or to destroy us? I’m gonna find out.”“

There would be a certain logic to ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ hosting the ‘Batman V Superman’ trailer, as both films are continuations of iconic, macho, action-heavy franchises which have served Warner Bros well over the decades. There might also be a certain resonance given that George Miller, director of all four ‘Mad Max’ movies, came very close to making a ‘Justice League’ movie in 2008.

Even so, as ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ (the first installment in the series since 1985’s ‘Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome,’ which sees Mel Gibson’s title role taken by Tom Hardy) is not in cinemas until 14 May 2015, fans might be hoping that Warners would grant us our first look at ‘Batman V Superman’ just a little sooner.

Either way we still have a bit of a wait to see the complete ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice,’ due in cinemas March 2016.
