Warner Bros have registered several domains that could be potential official titles for the 'Batman Vs Superman' project being developed for 2015.
Assumed to be called 'Batman Vs Superman', the 'Man of Steel' follow-up by follow a more traditional title format.
The other potential titles are 'Man of Steel: Darkness Falls', 'Man of Steel: Knight Falls', 'Man of Steel: Shadow of the Night', 'Man of Steel: The Blackest Hour', and 'Man of Steel: The Darkness Within'.
Should one of these titles be the final name of the film (PLEASE don't be 'Black of Knight') then it reveals that the film will still definitely focus on Henry Cavill's Superman, despite all the attention so far being on Ben Affleck's Batman, who he will fight at some stage.
It also reveals that Warner Bros are absolutely terrified of anything even remotely original. Okay so they don't all include either "Knight" or "Darkness", but most do. Why? Here's a brief summary of what probably happened at a Warner Bros meeting.
Exec 1: "We should have Knight in the title because of 'The Dark Knight'!" *lights cigar with $100 note*
Exec 2: "People might see through that, we should put Darkness in there because of that 'Star Trek' film everyone was talking about!" *lights two cigars with deed to intern's parent's house*
Exec 1: "I love it!" *lights three cigars with lit piece of the Declaration of Independence*
Or something like that.
In my opinion they should stick to 'Batman Vs Superman'. The Ronseal approach never hurt anyone.
