The upcoming ‘Baywatch’ movie has found a new Pamela Anderson as Kelly Rohrbach joins the cast in the role of C.J. Parker.

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson – who takes over from David Hasselhoff as lifeguard Mitch Buchannon – revealed the casting news via Instagram.

“A pleasure welcoming @kellyrohrbach to our #BAYWATCH family for the iconic role of ‘CJ Parker’,” he said. “Yes, she’s a walking smoke stack but more importantly… she’s smart, tough and funny. Just the way we like ‘em.”

“Get ready world, we can’t wait to bring you our generation’s #Baywatch! You’ll have fun… 👊🏾🔥💯👙🍆 (last emoji somewhat inappropriate).”

And it seems The Rock has already put her through her paces…

“For our #Baywatch and the iconic role of ‘CJ Parker’ I had to make sure @kellyrohrbach was ridiculously sexy running in SLO-MO….” he said. There’s even a video clip to prove she’s got what it takes.

But who is Kelly Rohrbach?

The young model has appeared in the likes of Sports Illustrated as well as landing a handful of film roles – most notably, starring in an upcoming (and as yet untitled) Woody Allen film alongside Kristen Stewart, Steve Carell and Jesse Eisenberg. She’s also appeared on the small screen in an episode of ‘Two and a Half Men’ as well as a series regular in ‘The PET Files’.

But could ‘Baywatch’ end up being her breakout role?

The upcoming ‘Baywatch’ reboot stars Dwayne Johnson – often considered box office dynamite. And with Zac Effron and Alexandra Daddario on board, as well as director Seth Gordon, they could be onto a winner.

‘Baywatch’ heads to cinemas in 2017.
