BBC Breakfast’s Carol Kirkwood really put her heart into her weather report this morning with an early Valentine’s Day celebration.

The weather presenter, and former Prima cover star, was joined in the studio by Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt this morning and her wardrobe choice caused a bit of a stir among fans.

The 57-year-old looked lovely in a white, pink and red heart print jumper.

She might be a day early, but we’re loving the look and so are fans with dozens taking to Twitter to compliment the host.

One fan wrote: “Have a great day Kirky. Love the love hearts blouse today.”

Carol’s weather repot this morning warned of cold temperatures to come, telling viewers: “So first thing on Friday morning we’re looking at a cold start. There will be some frost, there will be some ice, some patchy mist and fog as well.

“But temperatures are rising towards the west because the clouds are coming in with the wind strengthening and then we will see all this rain coming our way.

“Heavy and persistent rain coming into the west and pushing eastwards through the course of the day.”

She continued: “Then here it is Storm Dennis for the weekend.”

BBC Breakfast continues every weekday at 6am on BBC One.
