Ben Barnes has revealed he accepted a role in low-budget drama The Words because was hunting for something "more sophisticated".

Ben, whose recent roles include Dorian Grey and The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian, explained: "I was looking for something a little bit more sophisticated, and this was it."

"I literally was sitting on my sofa, at home in London and I read the script in one sitting, and I enjoyed reading it so much, I thought this is such an interesting story, these characters are so cleverly woven together, they're real."

The British actor plays a struggling writer in the movie, which also stars Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana and Olivia Wilde.
