EastEnders actor Ben Hardy and The Good Place's Jameela Jamil are officially part of the ensemble cast for rom-com The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight.

Via The Hollywood Reporter, it's been revealed that this one covers a 24-hour period where Hadley (played by Split's Haley Lu Richardson) and Oliver (Hardy) start to fall for each other during a transatlantic flight.

The logline goes on to tease: "Is it misfortune or fate that separates them when they land? The probability of ever finding each other again seems impossible, but love – and London – may have a way of defying the odds."

Other recognisable names featured in the cast include Catastrophe's Rob Delaney, Rocketman director Dexter Fletcher and Bridget Jones's resident potty-mouth Sally Phillips.

Katie Lovejoy is down as the movie's screenwriter – adapting Jennifer E. Smith's novel of the same name, published in 2011, while Vanessa Caswill directs.

Cameras are already filming in London, so we'd expect The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight to arrive on the big screen (or streaming) either later this year or early 2022.
