Beyoncé has officially announced the Renaissance World Tour concert film, with a trailer confirming the release date and teasing what we can expect.

Titled Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, the film will be part filmed version of the hugely-acclaimed and massively successful tour, and part making-of documentary. Will it finally include the Renaissance visuals, which reportedly finished filming in November 2022? We'll have to wait and see.

The trailer shows us a mix of performances and behind-the-scenes footage of Beyoncé with her family, including Jay-Z and Blue Ivy.

We also see the tour taking shape, while a voiceover from the singer states: "When I am performing, I am nothing but free.

"The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free, and no-one is judged. Start over, start fresh. Create the new. That's what the Renaissance is about."

It also confirms the release date of December 1, with a press release confirming this applies to the United States, Canada and Mexico, with details on the worldwide release to come.

Beyoncé has followed in Taylor Swift's footsteps in the US and signed a deal with AMC Theatres. In the UK, Swift's Eras Tour film is coming to Odeon cinemas exclusively, but it's not confirmed if the Renaissance film will do the same over here.

Variety also reports that, like Swift, Beyoncé's deal will see her gain over 50% of the film's box office gross.

The Eras Tour film is expected to do so well when it releases on Friday, October 13 this month, even a follow-up to the original The Exorcist has moved its release date to avoid the competition.

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé will be released in cinemas in the US, Canada and Mexico on December 1. UK and worldwide release dates are to be confirmed soon.
