Popularly known as Chandramukhi Chautala from ‘FIR’, Kavita Kaushik entered the house of Bigg Boss season 14 recently as a wild card contestant.

In an interview, Kavita said, "I think the contestants have not come out in their form. There was more focus on the seniors, they were playing the bigger game, taking more calls in the house. The contestants could not really emerge out with their personalities properly. Now that the seniors have left, that will happen."

Here are some little known facts about the new house captain of the Bigg Boss season 14:

Kaushik had started modelling, hosting events and anchoring during her college days.

In 2001 she appeared in auditions in the New Delhi for Kutumb and moved to Mumbai, after which she appeared in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, Piya Ka Ghar and Remix.

Kavita made a debut in Bollywood with the 2004 film, Ek Hasina Thi playing Saif Ali Khan's girlfriend.

Kaushik was in a relationship with fellow television actor Karan Grover and they participated in celebrity couples dance reality show Nach Baliye 3. The couple parted their ways in 2008.

She is a certified Kundalini yoga instructor.

In 2015 she was been offered to be a part of Bigg Boss but she said she rejected it.

Kaushik made a debut in the Punjabi film industry in 2017 with the film Vekh Baraatan Challiyan.

She is married to her best friend Ronnit Biswas in 2017.

In an interview, she revealed revealed that Gauahar Khan's season of Bigg Boss was her favourite. "I won’t say that Gauahar was my favourite, but that entire season was. There was little of everything in that season and not only fights."

Talking about made her agree to do the show, Kavita told Mid-Day, “I have been headlining FIR for nine years and was happy in that space. I would get a 10-day break every month, which would be spent travelling. The year 2020 has been unpredictable. The pandemic has prepared me for household chores. At a time when people are losing jobs, I didn't want to be ungrateful by rejecting the number one show (on Indian television) that was being offered to me year on year.”
