Oh Bill.

In another case of Bill Murray being a stand-up guy, he gave a fan who’d missed out on a ticket to the World Series baseball game on Tuesday one of his own, sat next to her and shared his nachos.

Karen Michel, a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs had shown up to the ground in the hope of getting a returned ticket.

Crestfallen, she was about to leave when Bill Murray came to the rescue.

“I thought some people holding tickets might not show up or something, I figured I’d give it a shot but I wasn’t expecting much,” Michel, 54, told People.

“It was crazy, Bill walked right by me, grabbed me and gave me a ticket! I said, ‘Where are we going?’ and he said, ‘You can come sit with me!’”

With seats just metres away from the home plate, Michel told how the pair ‘really hit it off’.

“He kept offering me nachos and drinks. It was the funniest thing we were chattin’ like old friends!” she said.

Not only was she sitting with Murray, but also with Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder and one row in front of US TV star Al Roker.

“We talked about growing up as Cubs fans and playing baseball,” she went on.

“Bill said he was born in Evanston and used to go to the games with his brother and he played catcher growing up.

“He’s just so personable and we had a blast! We are both very knowledgable about baseball.

“I was so appreciative of what he did for me, he’s a solid guy. I’ll always remember, because it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and it happened to me.”

Best of all, the Cubs won 9-3 against the Cleveland Indians.
