Bill & Ted 3 Is Going Into Production Very Soon

We’ve been waiting 25 years for a third ‘Bill & Ted’ film. But after being stuck in cinematic purgatory for what seems like an eternity, Alex Winter has now confirmed that the comedy is moving ahead.

Winter, who plays the titular Bill to Keanu Reeves’ Ted, made this admission to Forbes, insisting that they’re “working on the film everyday.” Meanwhile he has assured fans that Reeves is well and truly involved in the sequel.

“How the f*** would we make it if he wasn’t on board?” People always ask if Keanu’s doing it and I’m like, ‘No, I’m making a Bill movie’,” Winter declared. “Of course he’s in it. I can’t make a ‘Bill & Ted’ movie without Keanu.”

Winter admitted that they’ve now been working on ‘Bill & Ted 3′ for six years, and, alongside Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, who wrote the first films, they’re still very working on the script.

But he insists that everything is in place for ’Bill & Ted 3′ to start production very soon, as Winter emphatically declared, “We have a script, we have a director, we have a studio - we’re just trying to nail down a start date.”

Winter isn’t counting his chickens just yet, though. As the actor, while still confident, insisted, “This is Hollywood, so I don’t believe it’s happening until it’s coming out.”

Alex Winter was assured enough to predict that ‘Bill & Ted 3′ will start shooting towards the end of 2016 or early 2017, while it would probably then be released at some point during the latter. Which would be most excellent.
