Billie Eilish defends 33-year-old Drake for texting her when she was 17: 'Everybody's so sensitive'

Billie Eilish has berated those who would criticise her friendship with Drake, declaring that "everybody's so sensitive".

It comes after Eilish, who turned 18 in December, divulged last November that she and the 33-year-old singer had exchanged messages in a revelation which caused some controversy.

The Bad Guy singer told US Vogue: "A grown man can't be a fan of an artist? There are so many people that the internet should be more worried about.

"Like, you're really going to say that Drake is creepy because he's a fan of mine, and then you're going to go vote for Trump? What the f*** is that s***?"

Back in September 2018, a then 14-year-old Millie Bobby Brown generated a similar reaction to Eilish when she said that she and the Canadian rapper had been texting.

The Stranger Things star said Drake, then 31, had given her advice about boys although Brown didn't reveal the exact contents of the messages.

When Eilish originally told Vanity Fair about her new friendship, she described the Hotline Bling hitmaker as "the nicest dude [she's] ever spoken to".

Eilish, who is the artist behind the next Bond theme, has landed her first US Vogue cover fresh off the back of her multiple wins at the 62nd Grammy Awards held in January.

She picked up five gongs out of a possible six nominations, winning for Record of the Year and Song of the Year for Bad Guy, as well as Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for her debut studio album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?.
