At long last, Billy Dee Williams will be reprising his role as Gotham City legal eagle-turned-supervillain Harvey Dent.

He’s joining the cast of the forthcoming ‘Lego Batman Movie’ as Dent, and his alter-ego Two-Face.

Movie buffs will recall that Williams, who was, of course, also Lando Calrissian in the first ‘Star Wars’ movies, played District Attorney Dent in Tim Burton’s ‘Batman’ back in 1989.

He was also set to reprise the role in its sequel ‘Batman Returns’, where he would have been disfigured by Catwoman, in a set-up for the third movie.

But in the end, the script was re-written, with Dent out and Christopher Walken’s corrupt businessman Max Shreck in.

Tommy Lee Jones then played Dent/Two-Face in ‘Batman Forever’ instead, under the directorship of Joel Schumacher.

But now Williams is back in the fold, if in plastic form.

He joins a sterling cast in the movie, which will find Will Arnett’s Bruce Wayne battling The Joker for control of Gotham.

It’s also a ‘personal journey’ for the caped crusader, who will have to learn the importance of teamwork if he’s to beat his mortal foe.

Zach Galifianakis plays the Joker, with Michael Cera as Dick Grayson/Robin, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, Jenny Slate as Harley Quinn and Mariah Carey as Mayor McCaskill.

‘Lego Movie’s animation co-director Chris McKay is on directorial duties, with ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’ scribe Seth Grahame-Smith on writing duties.

It’s due out in February, 2017. Watch a trailer below.
