Black artists have been setting records on the pop music charts virtually as long as there have been pop music charts; this week, the Kendrick Lamar-curated Black Panther soundtrack stays atop the Billboard 200, while Drake’s “God’s Plan” repeats at No. 1 on the Hot 100.
