‘Inbetweeners’ star Blake Harrison feared his character Neil Sutherland would be killed off in the recently announced sequel to 2011’s ‘Inbetweeners Movie’.

In an interview with Digital Spy Harrison said: "I heard it was going to be based around one of the main character's funerals and after not hearing anything about it for a while, I was like, 'Oh well, that's probably me then!'"

A sequel to the surprise hit comedy was announced earlier this month for release in August 2014.

No details beyond that are known but there’s been plenty of speculation, about which Harrison had plenty to say.

“The press always seem to say stuff about it but it was only a few months back that it was going to be Neil's stag do, then after that it was going to be one of the main character's funerals, and now currently we're all apparently flying to Australia," he said.

"If you're a genuine fan of the ‘Inbetweeners’ and you want genuine information, just go to the Facebook page. As soon as these rumours came out, they released on the Facebook page that Australia is one of the many ideas that they're kicking around. That's what's true, so that's all there is at the moment."

‘The Inbetweeners Movie’ outperformed several major Hollywood blockbusters in the UK, raking in £41 million and becoming the biggest ever British comedy. Check out the red band trailer below.
