Carrie Fisher loses 35 pounds for her return to ‘Star Wars’

Princess Leia looks royally amazing! Carrie Fisher, who is set to reprise her bun-headed "Star Wars" beauty in the upcoming sequels, showed up to a Hollywood auction on Wednesday, and she looked stunning.

In a form-fitting dark dress and fetching spectacles, the 57-year-old actress showed off her newly slimmed-down figure.

"It's trippy that you do a sequel 35 years later," Fisher told The Daily Mail. "That's right, they didn't hire me, they hired me minus 35 pounds."

Though Fisher cut a svelte figure in the late '70s and early '80s when she was headlining the "Star Wars" movies, the actress has been open about her struggles with her weight in the years since.

In 2011, she became a spokesperson for Jenny Craig, having lost 30 pounds after substituting water for soda and exercising on an elliptical machine.

"I like looking better," Fisher told People at the time. "Before you had to like me for my mind. I'm hoping to give people options now."
