Dujardin started his career as a comedian, writing one-man shows before appearing on a French talent show as part of a comedy group called Nous C Nous.

Their work included various parodies, including a boy band, for which they made a music video where the screen-grabs above originated. Thankfully, he quickly moved into film.

In 2005 Dujardin starred in 'Brice de Nice', where he played a posh surfer with beach blonde hair who always wore a yellow T-shirt bearing his own name. Yes.

The following shots are taken from one of the film's musical numbers which can be seen here.

Every actor, even those with Oscar nominations, have their share of embarrassing roles early on in their careers and they're always found out eventually!

For now, just enjoy watching the best actor of the last year dancing in a bank dressed like a surfer.
