First trailer: Denzel Washington in Flight

The first trailer for Denzel Washington's new vehicle, 'Flight' has (safely) landed on Yahoo! Movies.

The new flick stars the Oscar-winner as an airline captain whose heroic actions save many lives in the midst of an emergency on board. But questions are raised over his involvement in the crash. Is Denzel the hero he's made out to be?

Watch the trailer below.

It shows a glimpse at probably the most expensive scene in the movie, with Denzel narrowly avoiding complete disaster by successfully crash landing his broken plane in spectacular fashion.

The film is director Robert Zemeckis' first live-action film for 12 years. He's most famous for the 'Back to the Future' trilogy and last helmed 'A Christmas Carol'.

Don Cheadle, the legendary John Goodman and Bruce Greenwood flesh out the cast.

'Flight' is due to be released in the UK on 25th January 2013.
