Coen brothers to thank for genius Men In Black 3 casting

Will Smith has revealed that iconic directors Joel and Ethan Coen are to thank for the genius casting of Josh Brolin in the new 'Men In Black' movie.

Smith, back as the smooth Agent J, told Yahoo! Movies (in Cancun no less) that "when the idea came up, it was the Coen brothers that told Barry [Sonnenfeld] 'you should look at Josh'".

"The Coen brothers had just worked with Tommy Lee [Jones] and Josh [Brolin] on 'No Country For Old Men'".

Smith went on; "It's funny, you don't think about Josh in that way, until you think about Josh that way. Then you think 'oh my god', of course!"

Brolin himself was just as shocked to star in the movie saying, "I was surprised to get the 'Men In Black' call, period."

'Men In Black 3' is due in UK cinemas on Friday 25 May.
