Exclusive: New Epic poster

Yahoo! Movies has exclusively nabbed a rather lovely new poster for animation epic, umm, ‘Epic’ . Have a look.

Based on the book ‘The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs’ by William Joyce, it sees Amanda Seyfried voice to Mary, a teenage girl transported to a secret forest kingdom and doing battle with the forces of evil. The barmy vocal cast also includes Christoph Waltz, Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Steven Tyler, Beyoncé Knowles and Pitbull.

It’s clear director Chris Wedge, who also helmed ‘Ice Age’ and ‘Robots’, has some high aspirations for the film. He said: "I hate to associate it with other movies [but] it is adventure on the scale of ‘Star Wars’. And it does immerse the audience completely in a world like ‘Avatar’. But it has its own personality.” No pressure then!

‘Epic’ is released in the UK on 24 May 2013. Watch the trailer below.
