The James Bond roadshow has rolled into Matera, a picturesque city in Southern Italy, to shoot new scenes for No Time To Die.

To celebrate the arrival of the massive production in the ancient city, Daniel Craig, Léa Seydoux and director Cary Joji Fukunaga have posed for some new promotional photos showcasing the stylish location in the background.

Wearing a pale linen houndstooth suit, pale suede desert boots, and blue shirt and tie that complements the white stone landscape of the Sassi di Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 51-year-old Craig looks every inch the suave secret agent who is returning for one final adventure.

Fashion mavens Esquire have already declared the outfit from Italian label Brunello Cucinelli “your next summer suit”, perfect for wedding season 2020.

Matera is said to be the location for a car chase sequence in No Time To Die. Bond’s classic Aston Martin DB5, last seen in 2012’s Skyfall, has been seen racing through the streets, while Daniel Craig’s stunt double has also been pictured performing daring motorbike stunts including a jump into the Piazza Duomo.

IMAX cameras have also been spotted on location capturing the sequence that also features a 2020 Jaguar F-Type Coupe.

No Time To Die will be the first James Bond to be shot using the large format cameras, with Oscar-winning cinematographer Linus Sandgren reportedly using both Panavision and IMAX 65mm cameras on the shoot.

Sandgren utilised the IMAX format to dizzying effect on 2018’s First Man and is rumoured to be relying on the larger format for the Bond film’s action sequences, similar to how Christopher Nolan enhanced his Batman films with IMAX-only sequences.

Daniel Craig’s stunt double has been kept busy during the production in Italy. He was filmed jumping off a bridge in Gravina, Italy back in August for what is reputed to be the film’s action-packed pre-credit sequence.

In a recent interview with ET Canada while promoting his new film Knives Out at the Toronto International Film Festival, Craig reiterated his intention to step down as 007 following the 2020 release of No Time To Die.

In the same clip he says his ankle, which he broke while shooting the 25th James Bond film, is now “much better”.

No Time To Die, starring Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Billy Magnussen, Ana de Armas, Rory Kinnear, David Dencik, Dali Benssalah with Jeffrey Wright and Ralph Fiennes is set to release in the U.K. on 3 April and in the U.S on 8 April, 2020.
