Tayna Roberts, star of Charlie’s Angels and A View To A Kill, has died aged 65 according to TMZ. Her partner Lance O’Brien was informed of her death by the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in LA on a phone call at 9pm on Monday night.

The news follows a premature announcement of her passing by the gossip site on Monday, 4 January.

Tributes had been flooding in on Monday, after it was reported by her publicist Mike Pingel that she had died after being admitted to hospital on Christmas Eve.

Roberts had been rushed to Cedars-Sinai but due to coronavirus rules, O'Brien had not been allowed to be by her side as her condition had worsened.

Speaking to Page Six, he said the confusion had been caused when he was been ‘blubbering’ on the phone to Pingel, following what he believed to be an ‘end of life’ visit with Roberts.

But in a stunning turn of events, O'Brien then received word that she was still alive while recording an interview with US magazine show Inside Edition.

“Thank the lord, thank god,” he says, breaking down in tears. “The hospital is telling me she is alive. They are calling me from the ICU team.”

“I'm so happy,” he adds, sobbing.

Pingel, told the press that she'd passed away after been taken to hospital on Christmas Eve, due to falling ill while walking her two dogs.

She was put on a ventilator, where she had remained ever since. O’Brien had described what he thought were his last moments with Roberts to TMZ, saying: “As I held her in her last moments, she opened her eyes. I was able to see her beautiful eyes one last time. Tanya had the most beautiful eyes.”

However, he’s since added that he was told by doctors that Robert opening her eyes was just a reflex, and that she has now been taken off life support.

Pingel later told People: “Currently, it's not looking good. It's very dire. Hold her in your prayers.”
