A first look at Borat's long-awaited return is finally here, with Amazon Prime Video dropping a trailer and poster for the upcoming sequel.
Sacha Baron Cohen has been secretly filming a follow-up to his hit 2006 movie Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Now, the character is due to return for a new movie on October 23, and the hilarious first trailer has revealed he's brought his daughter (Irina Nowak) along to marry her off to someone "close to the throne".
Amazon has also released a first poster that shows the Kazakhstani reporter in his infamous mankini – this time fashioned out of a face mask – with the tagline "Wear mask. Save live."
Borat 2, or Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe To American Regime For Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, comes out ahead of the US election on November 3.
As to be expected, the sequel will see Borat get into some awkward situations, including interrupting a Mike Pence speech in a Trump mask and staying with some random Republicans who teach him about the COVID-19 virus.
We're sure that ended well..
Much of the sequel was filmed in the US, and at times things reportedly got dangerous as Baron Cohen had to wear a bulletproof vest on two separate days.
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe To American Regime For Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan will be released on Amazon Prime Video on October 23.
