Season two will see the Boys on the run from the law and being hunted by the Supes as they desperately try to regroup and fight back against Vought.

With Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother's Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon), and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) are all currently in hiding and trying to adjust to a new normal.

Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control. But he faces a threat to his power with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash) a new Supe who is described as "social media-savvy" and who has "an agenda of her own".

Along with everything else, there's also a huge Supervillain threat as Vought seeks to capitalise on the nation's paranoia.

Previously the show's boss Erik Kripke revealed that season two of The Boys will tackle white supremacy and systemic racism.

"We're going after white supremacy in season two, we're going after white nationalism in season two, we're going after systemic racism in season two, and all of those things really effing suck," Kripke said.

"The three triangles of the show are always strong characters first, madness second – which we have – and then if we can sneak in some revelations or discussions about the real world then we'll do that too, and you'll see that in season two."

The Boys season one is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video, with season two launching on September 4.
