Brad Pitt shares his reaction to Jennifer Aniston reunion photo hysteria

Ever since Hollywood stars Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston publicly bumped into one another at the 2020 SAG Awards on Sunday, fans have been obsessing over the former couple reuniting. Now, the former has shared his reaction to the media frenzy that he unknowingly played a part in over the past week.

Speaking at the 35th Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Wednesday 22 Jan, the Once Upon A Time... in Hollywood actor told ET Online that he is “blissfully naïve” when it comes to the online furore surrounding his love life. And what’s more, he intends for things to “stay that way.”

Having been honoured with the Maltin Modern Master Award for his contributions to film at the California event, Pitt was asked how he felt about receiving such an accolade.

"One, it means I'm old," he joked. "Two, it's nice for me.

"I've been spending a lot of time here since 1999, so it feels homey for me. My kids spend a lot of time out here, friends a lot of time out here. So, that feels nice. I don't know, I haven't done one of these things before so we'll see what happens."

Elsewhere, a source told PEOPLE magazine that Pitt and Aniston “want nothing but happiness for each other,” before insisting that while the latter is “happy to have Brad back in her life as a friend,” they won’t be revisiting their romantic relationship anytime soon.

The pair were married between 2000 and 2005, before splitting shortly after Pitt met and fell for his Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie. Each went to have separate marriages - Pitt wed Jolie in 2014, while Aniston tied the knot with Justin Theroux later - but both are thought to be single again after their respective divorces.
