Ariana Grande has pulled out of tonight’s BRIT Awards at the last minute, where she was scheduled to perform a tribute to the Manchester terror attack victims.

Now, just hours before the show is about to begin, the singer has reportedly cancelled her appearance entirely.

‘It was utter chaos when the call came in that Ariana couldn’t do it. It’s race against time to get someone to do what is very much the centrepiece of the entire show,’ a source revealed to the Mirror.

A huge, show-stopping set was on the cards for the 24-year-old to front, but now organisers are left frantic in their attempt s to fill the giant void the petite star will leave.

The name of the secret artist set to perform had been just that, as people speculated who it was going to be.

The insider also said it was set to be ‘the biggest talking point of the night. The whole industry wants to come together to pay their respects to the victims.

‘The effects of that terrible night resonated far and wide in the music industry and it’s only right everyone comes together to pay their respects.’

After the devastating terror attack that left 22 concert goers dead after the Side to Side singer performed in Manchester last summer, she – along with a host of other big names such as Coldplay and Take That – organised the One Love Manchester concert that brought a city (and nation) in mourning together.

Ariana has met with many of the families of the victims of the attack, with a surprise appearance at the event set to serve as another heartfelt tribute to those that died.

It remains to be seen who will now fill her spot, but rest assured it’ll be a big name to take over from what was was due to be the highlight of the entire show. So no pressure, obviously.

Last-minute epic Oasis reunion, anyone? Despite the brothers famously not getting on, they’d be perfect for the Manchester tribute.
