Aaron Paul has dropped a teaser for the Breaking Bad movie, and it has fans asking questions.

The actor took to Instagram to share a cryptic picture of himself in character as fan favourite Jesse Pinkman.

The snap is taken from a previous season and shows Jesse working in Gus Fring's superlab in the iconic yellow jumpsuit.

And Breaking Bad fans are now starting to wonder what it all means as they gear up for the release of El Camino: A Breaking Bad Story on Netflix next month.

Named after the car which Jesse sped off in during the Breaking Bad finale, El Camino will follow Jesse right after the climactic moment, having escaped the compound and gone on the run.

There's not much more known about the hotly-anticipated but shrouded-in-secrecy project, although Aaron's post and subsequent caption certainly has fans guessing.

"Hello old friend," it reads next to the release date, Netflix tag and numerous emojis.

So, what does it mean?

Well, fans have been guessing that it could refer to any number of things; including either Jesse returning to meth cooking or him being reunited with former friends Badger or Skinny Pete, or maybe even Walt.

Although, for obvious reasons, that would certainly be a shock...

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Story premieres on Netflix on October 11.
