Bromance! Liam Neeson Loves Doing Yoga With Ralph Fiennes

Liam Neeson is a busy man juggling an acting career and a family but the Hollywood star still makes time for his friends, revealing that he loves doing a spot of yoga with one of his closest friends, Ralph Fiennes, while he is also writing a film script with his other BFF Bono.

The 62-year-old, who is currently promoting his new action movie A Walk Among The Tombstones, admits that when he’s not working or spending time with his two children, sons Micheal and Daniel, Liam hangs out with his other famous buddies, although you won’t find them enjoying wild nights out and sloping out of bars in the early hours.

Speaking out his friendship with fellow actor Ralph Fiennes, who he starred in Shindler's List with, Liam said: “He’s one of my closest friends. He’s very into yoga and I do bits of that with him. We hike and walk and talk a lot.” When asked if they ever go to nightclubs, Liam replied: “Nah. We don’t really do that stuff.”

The Taken actor also reveals that he’s close friends with fellow Irish star and U2 frontman Bono, although it looks as though they’re mixing business with pleasure with the pair teaming up to pen the script for a movie. “We chat, or with him a lot of the time I just listen. He’s a wonderful man. He’s got an idea for a script which we’ve been working on for the past six years,” Liam said of the singer.

Liam’s new movie sees his character attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and he admits that he attended some classes in real life as research.

“I went to quite a few AA meetings in LA and New York,” Liam explained. “I went to some big meetings, where there were about 300 people, and some with just five or six people, witnessing these incredibly heroic acts where people get up and tell a horrendous story about their relationship with drugs or alcohol, and people in the room understand it.”

When asked if he talked about his own life in the meetings, Liam revealed: “No, I just observed. But I was touched by the experience.”

A Walk Among The Tombstones is out on September 19.
