Even Bruce Willis doesn’t understand the baffling title of the latest ‘Die Hard’, ‘A Good Day to Die Hard’.

In a bizarre interview on the BBC’s ‘The One Show’, the star of the franchise interrupted presenters Matt Baker and Alex Jones, asking them: “Let me ask you guys, what about the title? Are you confused by it?”

“I was,” said Jones. “But I thought about it and I’m alright with it now.”

“I don’t quite understand it… It’s a good day… to die hard... yep, still working on it.”

He went on: “It's a difficult title. ‘A Good Day To Die Hard’? It's like, have a sandwich and let's go shopping - then die hard.”

Baker asked if he would call the film that.  “It would have made about as much sense,” said Willis.

The awkward encounter drew critcism from viewers. Philip Schofield tweeted to his followers: "Catching up on 'The One Show' from yesterday..Bruce Willis looks uncomfortable!"

Writing on the 'Points of View Forum', a viewer said: “This was a shameful appearance and full credit to the presenters who did a great job with an ignorant couldn't care less man.”

‘Die Hard’ has a glorious history of titles that don’t totally make sense, from ‘Die Hard: With A Vengeance’, to ‘Live Free Or Die Hard’ and ‘Die Hard 2: Die Harder’.

Maybe Willis didn’t understand those either…
