Caitlyn Jenner broke down in tears as she chatted to her daughter Kendall Jenner on FaceTime after leaving the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

The US star, 70, was eliminated from the ITV show earlier this month and none of her famous family members – from either the Kardashian or Jenner side – were there to greet her as she crossed the bridge.

Fans were upset about the perceived snub, with some even saying they were in tears.

However, in scenes in the Coming Out special, which shows the campers leaving the jungle and being reunited with loved ones, Jenner had a nice surprise when her partner Sophia Hutchins met her at the hotel.

Hutchins held out a phone and told Jenner someone wanted to speak to her, and model Kendall was seen on FaceTime.

“Hey my baby!” said Jenner, looking emotional.

She told her daughter it had been “hard” in the jungle and noted that she hadn’t been on a phone in a month.

“That’s probably good for the soul,” said Kendall.

“It actually is,” agreed the former Olympic athlete.

Choking back tears, she went on: “I was very very very lucky.

“The first night I didn’t think I was going to make it, you know, but then honestly the people in the camp were so great and we had so much fun. It made it a lot easier.”

The pair agreed to get together once Jenner had returned to the US.

“We’ll have a little party. At your house!” she told her model daughter.

Kim Kardashian has recently said that no one from I’m A Celebrity invited her to take part in the show to support Jenner.

Jenner was Kardashian’s stepfather, Bruce Jenner, before her transition to become a woman.

Kardashian tweeted: “NO ONE from I’m A Celeb even reached out and asked for letters, appearances or anything from any Kardashians or Jenners.”

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star backed comments by her stepbrother Brandon Jenner, who told a fan on Instagram: “Honestly, nobody reached out to set it up. I think it might have been a ‘storyline’ the producers wanted to fabricate in order to get more empathy for Caitlyn. That’s how that kind of TV works.”
