It looks as though ‘Captain America: Civil War’ could ruin some friendships…

The new worldwide trailer for the upcoming ‘Captain America’ sequel has debuted online. It’s no secret that friendships will be tested as The Avengers clash against each other… but now the conflict has been well and truly hit home as we see best friends duking it out.

That’s right – it’s Black Widow vs Hawkeye.

‘Captain America: Civil War’ sees Marvel’s mightiest heroes divided, as a result of proposals to enforce superhero registration. And as we’ve seen from the extensive marketing campaign, the world’s superheroes have been split into Team Iron Man and Team Cap.

Unfortunately, Black Widow and Hawkeye find themselves on opposite sides.

But despite their differences, it looks as though they’re trying not to hold it against each other.

“We’re still friends, right?” asks Black Widow mid-struggle.

“Depends on how hard you hit me,” replies Hawkeye.

Of course, Black Widow has sided with Iron Man – the figurehead of pro-registration. And Hawkeye? He’s on the side of Captain America, who wants superheroes to retain their right to keep up a secret identity.

And with the introduction of Hawkeye’s family in ‘Age of Ultron’ it’s obvious why he’s keen to keep a lid on his Avengers activities.

‘Captain America: Civil War’ stars Chris Evans as Captain America and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. Scarlett Johansson joins as Black Widow, with Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as The Vision, Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier and Tom Holland as Spider-Man.

‘Captain America: Civil War’ heads to cinemas on 29 April 2016.
