Captain America Wants A Cameo In Spider-Man: Homecoming

‘Captain America’ star Chris Evans wants a role in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’.

During an interview with MTV, the 34-year-old Marvel hero revealed where he’d like to see Captain America appear next… and said that he’d love a cameo in the ‘Spider-Man’ films.

“Guardians would be fun, wouldn’t it?” he said. “But it’s very outer spacey. Cap’s more of an Earth-bound guy… Maybe the next Spider-Mans. Those are going to be fantastic, and I think Tom [Holland]’s just a great actor, so that might be a fun one to pop up into.”

But could this actually happen?

There’s already a good chance that we’ll see Captain America in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ after Robert Downey Jr recently revealed that he and Chris Evans will be heading to Atlanta to film together…

The exact place ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ is filming.

“By the way, we are going to shoot in Atlanta again, you and I,” he said on Jimmy Kimmel Live… and Chris Evans confirmed it. “I know,” he said. “I’m ready, I’m ready.”

Unfortunately, nothing has been confirmed by Marvel… yet.

But there might be a subtle hint in the comic books.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ appears to be a reference to the ‘Homecoming’ storyline in Amazing Spider-Man #252. The comic book storyline revolves around Peter Parker’s Spider-Man returning to New York City following the 1984 Secret Wars event.

And most importantly, the comic book features both Iron Man and Captain America.

Could this mean a Chris Evans cameo in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’?

For now, we’ll have to wait and see… but it seems likely.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ heads to cinemas on 28 July 2017.
