Yahoo Movies Catherine Tate's Nan movie finally lands an official release date
Catherine Tate's Nan movie has finally received an official release date.
Earlier this year it was confirmed that, after The Catherine Tate Show and a number of spin-offs, the foul-mouthed pensioner's story was set to appear on the big screen for the first time.
The film will give viewers a proper look at the character's origin story with Catherine Tate returning to play the role of Joannie Taylor in both her Nan and pre-Nan days.
And now we know when we'll finally get to see that story in cinemas as the film will be released on June 19, 2020.

Alongside the release date, the film has also been given an official title. Although director Josie Rourke has been referring to the project as This Nan's Life on her social media updates, it looks like the film will now officially be called Nan The Movie (H/T Tom Linay).
Last month, fans were treated to a sneak peek at the movie when filming pictures emerged of Tate in character as a younger Nan riding a horse and cart down a street alongside co-star Katherine Parkinson.
Director Josie also took to Instagram herself to share a few snaps from the movie set as well.

"I think I speak for loads of us when I say that my Gran's spirit lives in Catherine Tate's immortal Nan," she captioned her post.
"I have loved working with Catherine over the years on stage, and it is a massive treat to put her Nan on film. Here's to her Nan, my Nan, all our Nans. Let's reclaim outrage from loathsome politicians and put it back where it belongs: with our Nans."
Nan The Movie will be released on June 19,2020.
