While anticipation levels rise for Quentin Tarantino’s ‘The Hateful Eight’, Channing Tatum has revealed how he nabbed a part in the epic Western.

Speaking to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, the ‘Magic Mike XXL’ star shares the secret to getting QT’s attention and landing a role in one of his movies.

“I basically sent about an email a day for about a month just threatening any other actors that might be up for the role,” the actor revealed, but we’re not even sure if he’s joking or not.

“I was just praying that no one really tough was up for the role,” Tatum said, and was concerned over just who else might’ve been in the running. He did, however, jest over the idea of the competing actors being locked in a room and the one to emerge alive get the part: "I’m so happy that he didn’t say, ‘Well Mike Tyson is up for this role.'”

The ‘22 Jump Street’ star also admitted he was nervous and a bit intimidated by the ensemble of talent that surrounded him during script readings. Reliving the moment he and the cast - including Kurt Russell and Bruce Dern - first got together, he said: “I start getting terrified. I’m just shaking. I’ve never been so nervous.”

However, while Tatum does appear in the upcoming stylish flick, it’s still unclear what part he’ll have to play, with his role being rather secretive to say the least.

‘The Hateful Eight’ is in UK cinemas from 8 January, 2016.
