Check Out the New Batch of 'Hunger Games' Goodies
Hark, the latest Mockingjay delivery has arrived, and it includes a basketful of tasty morsels: cast interviews, character bios, and new photos — some of which move.
Jennifer Lawrence shared today what it has been like to become the Mockingjay in the upcoming installment of The Hunger Games on the movie’s official website, which released its second batch of images and PR materials. “Katniss is a dream character,” the 24-year-old actress says. “She is constantly evolving. I am never bored.”
Here are three things we learned from the site’s so-called “Issue No. 2”:
1. Lawrence is still filming (in Atlanta)!
All clues lead to an early scene in the upcoming sequel, one in which Katniss confronts what happens next, now that she has destroyed the arena (the conclusion of Catching Fire). From the site: “A jagged ruin has replaced the bombed-out District 12. [Katniss’s] house still stands only to taunt her of what might have been. Cameras roll as she surveys the broken glass and domestic shrapnel in the deserted kitchen.”
2. She is nothing like Katniss — she’s a chatterbox.
“I don’t really feel like there is a lot of myself in Katniss,” Lawrence admits in a q-and-a on the site. “I wish that I could be somber and serious and brave like her,” she adds. (The new write-up let slip that Lawrence is really talkative in between takes.)
3. She’s taking the bow home.
Lawrence reveals that a props master promised her a brand new bow to take home, but she wants the scratched up one she used while filming. “That bow means a lot to me.”
