Known for his sculpted spikes and figure-hugging silhouettes, Chet Lo’s bold design language is one that has become widely recognizable in the fashion scene. Expressing the themes of sensuality and seductiveness in his garments – with his SS24 collection delving into sexuality in Asian culture – the designer’s unique perspective proves to be the perfect match for Tinder, as the pair continues to explore these themes in six playful pieces.
“The Lovestruck Collection” by Chet Lo for Tinder comprises a beanie and range of tops, each capturing the various narratives associated with modern romance in vibrant graphic detailing. On white and black T-shirts, this concept plays out in humorous slogan prints that bear the phrases “commitment-
phobe” or “no-one’s type.” These are plastered alongside illustrations of devils and hearts that draw inspiration from Chet Lo’s signature spiky style.
Other tops in the capsule include the white everyday vest which features a bold pink creature on the front and across the back, the word “chaotic” is enclosed within a barbed wire heart. A knitted hat completes the collection as the designer keeps to the same aesthetics, introducing red typography to the ribbed edge of the black accessory.
“I’m thrilled to bring a unique blend of creativity and emotion to this collaboration with Tinder,” says Chet Lo as he reflects on the capsule. “From playful chaos to the vulnerability we often experience when dating, these designs capture the realness of modern dating and human connection. It's an exciting exploration of love, fear, and the messy, beautiful journey we take in the world of dating."
To celebrate the launch, Tinder took to central London this week to host a style-focused party with a fashion designer as the guest of honor. Stay tuned on Hypebae to get an exclusive look at what went down.
